ABOUT GATEWAY NEWS
Welcome to the local paper for North Bexley & Thamesmead. Founded in 2004, Gateway News is an independent news paper designed with the focused on community and local issues and to help cure the severe problem of communication with in North Bexley and Thamesmead.
To overcome the communication problem, Gateway News was set up as a medium to allow readers to communicate to other local resident, council official and other key community members and vice versa. Since launching, Gateway News has steadily grown and is now one of the most recogniable Newspapers in the area.
Our success is due to our goals set out, they are;
1. To keep focused on being a local news paper with only local News. Our term ‘Local’ means, news on your doorstep, not borough wide. By doing this Gateway News is said to be a more enjoyable read.
2. To be Non political, fair and impartial, to allow our readers to make their own verdict.
3. To offer affordable advertising.
4. To allow the community to get involved and become part of the paper.
5. To remain independent.
