WIN A £100 DINING VOUCHER
One of Bexley’s landmark pubs, The Jacobean Barn located at the medieval site of Hall Place Estate, has been given a £400,000 facelift by the new owners Mitchells & Butlers and reopens to the public on Wednesday 11 April as a Miller & Carter premium steakhouse, pub & grill.
To celebrate the completion of the refurbishment, Neil Miller, the general manager of the Miller & Carter, is delighted to team up with Gateway News to offer one lucky reader a chance to win a £100.00 dining voucher along with one runner up prize of a £50.00 dining voucher.
The new menu offers a wide selection of dishes including salmon and chicken salads, hot sandwiches, burgers served with seasoned fries and house slaw from £8, grilled meat and fish dishes including 28-day matured, lean and tender steaks from £7.50 up to £14 for a 12oz sirloin steak.
Desserts including banoffee pie, grilled pineapple with caramel sauce and ice cream and bramley apple pie, start from £4.
As part of the renovation, a classy new interior has been brought in, mixing timber panelling with exposed brick walls and a rich colour scheme to reflect the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the 150-seater restaurant. Diners can also relax on soft leather seating in intimate booths enveloped in atmospheric lighting.
Customers can just pop in for a drink and will be thrilled by the huge selection available at the new-look restaurant and bar, from continental draught lagers like Staropramen and Birra Moretti to red and white wines on tap.
The Miller & Carter Jacobean Barn is open every day from 11am-11pm with food served from 12noon-3pm and 6-10pm Monday to Friday, 12noon-10pm Saturday and 11am-9pm on Sundays. For more information, call 01322 522748.
