IT’S BACK - BOOGIE NIGHTS THE SENSATIONAL 70S MUSICAL!
It’s time to dust down your flares, hotpants and platform shoes once again as the best 70s musical in the world goes on the road for a special 10th Anniversary Tour from February 2007.

Starring pop sensation, ANTONY COSTA (who shot to fame as a member of boy band Blue), and 70s legend and recording star, ALVIN STARDUST, BOOGIE NIGHTS - THE 70s MUSICAL features over 30 classic hits from the 1970s, including We Are Family, Celebration, YMCA, I Will Survive, Play That Funky Music and many, many more. Antony plays the central character, ‘Roddy O’Neil’ while Alvin plays his on-stage father, ‘Eamon’. Joining the cast in the part of ‘Spencer’ is NICK BAILEY, known to millions for his role as Dr Anthony Trueman in EastEnders.

Calling All Local Community Groups
On Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July, Bexley Council will be presenting the 2007 Danson Festival in Danson Park, Bexleyheath.

The Festival is a free weekend of fun for the whole family, providing a feast of music and dance entertainment on four stages, including activities and attractions like the craft fair, funfair, classic cars, farm, arts and cultural interactive zone, sports and water sports, along with garden, trade and Council exhibits.

It is one of the largest festivals in south London and attracts over 50,000 people. It offers a great opportunity to promote the work of your community and celebrate the diversity of local talent in the borough.

The Festival Team is looking for dancers, musicians, visual artists and arts and crafts people to perform, exhibit and run workshops.

If your organisation would like to participate, Bexley Council would like to hear from you.
