Erith Mystery Shopper awards
On Thursday 5th April Erith celebrated its excellent businesses at the Mystery Shopper Award Ceremony held at Erith Playhouse. The businesses in Erith were visited by Retail Detail through September to November 2006.
Retail Detail, A firm of independent retail consultants, visited the businesses in the town centre and surveyed across categories of , Service, Sales Skills, Product Knowledge, Staff Appearance, Merchandising and House Keeping. Eriths’ overall score was mid range in comparison with previous Bexley audits and focus was given to improving Sales Skills, a common failing in this sector, and also achieving consistent levels across all categories, through out the town, as standards were shown to vary greatly.
This prestigious event saw a healthy turnout of local businesses, with many of those winning certificates able to attend. 30 businesses from the 49 surveyed agreed to attend the event to collect the 34 certificate presented by The Worshipful Mayor of Bexley, Councillor Brian Beckwith.
