The investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Barry Burke said “The robberies took place within the space an hour in what can only be described as a targeted campaign against innocent members of the public, which included two children. Light and Sherritt were dangerous and ruthless individuals who targeted children and vulnerable members of our community as they perceived them to be weak. However, Light and Sherritt underestimated their victims and it is due to their courage and determination that they were convicted. I hope this convictions gives the victims peace of mind”.
